Surrounded by Africans this morning
I was in the foreign students' computer lab this morning, feeling far away from everyone as I looked at people's facebook pages. Also in the lab were three guys from Africa and all of the sudden one of them started singing softly in English, "He's got the whole world, in His hands He's got the whole wide world, ..." I wanted to laugh and cry. How beautifully child-like and true. I don't think I ever realized the significance of these words till that moment. He's got the WHOLE world, even this strange, far-away place. His hands are that big!

Hi Brook! It's Nikki from church -- I saw the link on facebook and thought I'd come on over. (I didn't know you were in Russia, and have been wondering where you were!) So glad you had this reminder, and that were you able to find a better place to live -- God knows what we need. Peace to you today.
ReplyDeleteBrook, like Nikki I saw your link. Your descriptions are fabulous. The photos remind me of Ukraine--for good reason, I suppose (: Adventures appeal to me as well, but I have also experienced the longing for home and its comfort. Thanks for sharing with your whole Facebook world. I will pray for you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun story!! I'm glad to hear that you're feeling God's presence. I hope you are meeting lots of really awesome people!
